Digital Dialog was amongst one hundred and fifty representatives of businesses invited to celebrate Oxfordshire’s LVEP accreditation at Blenheim Palace in June 2023.
Developed and administered by VisitEngland, the creation of LVEPs was part of the UK Government’s response to reshaping destination management across England, reducing fragmentation and bringing coherence to its DMO landscape.
Hayley Beer-Gamage, CEO of Experience Oxfordshire, outlined the importance of the accreditation to the organisation and thanked all Partners and Stakeholders present for their ongoing support. She stated, “We’re working with excellent businesses and brands and the LVEP status places Oxfordshire in the heart of the national visitor economy network.” Hayley also detailed how pleased Experience Oxfordshire has been with the results of the high-performing marketing campaigns promoting events and visitor attractions over the last year.
Fiona Pollard, Interim Chair of Visit England, explained the new destination management structures, the rationale behind the new LVEP programme, and potential opportunities for the future and praised Experience Oxfordshire for their commitment to the sector and their achievement in being one of the first destinations to receive LVEP status. She concluded that " LVEPs are at the heart of transforming the visitor economy landscape” and that “VisitEngland will provide expert support alongside guidance and resources in areas from product distribution, accessibility, and sustainability to business support, funding bids and marketing”
As the digital marketing agency responsible for delivering some of Experience Oxfordshire’s strategic campaigns, it was a great opportunity for our team to meet several stakeholders including businesses and partners of Experience Oxfordshire who work together to strengthen the economy of Oxfordshire by attracting domestic and international tourists to the region.
Manu Kastia, Head of Strategy said “Digital Dialog has an enviable track record of working with several prominent DMOs across the UK and Europe and seeing Experience Oxfordshire gain LVEP status and celebrating in their success was a proud moment for us all”
